Lesson 1: PNG Frames and Word Art (Ryah and Kaylie)
Lesson 3: Create a Vintage, Hand Tinted Look (This is my daughter Kasey)
(Kasey)
I had a hard time with this because I kept feeling like I was taking too much color out of the photo and making her skin too white, so I did it over 3 or 4 times. (Kasey)
In this one I didn't take quite as much color out, so she doesn't look as pale, but I think I tinted her cheeks a little too dark. Ugh!
I used the techniques from lesson 3 for this adorable pic of (Owen Hillard)! I took this pic of him while we were out at the beach with our church family.
Lesson 4: Clipping Masks
Oh my goodness, I LOVE the pic of little Owen and I think the last pic of Kasey is GREAT, I think the pink in the cheaks is awesome!
ReplyDeleteOf course I think the pic of Kaylie and Ryah is supper cute, but I LOVE the pics of Casey! The last one is my favorite. She looks so Beautiful in that picture. Not that she doesn't alway look beautiful because she does. She just looks like a model in the last one and you can tell her I said so.
ReplyDeletelove ya,
Misty S
I also have to say that I am a dork. I wrote supper instead of super. You've got to love a blonde!

Michelle and Misty, that was my fav pic of Kasey also. The one where she's standing by the post actually looks way better in black and white. I couldn't make it look vintage because when I pulled more of the color out, it made her skin too pale. The pic of Owen turned out beautiful and I agree with you Misty...the pic of Kaylie and Ryah is super cute! Oh and by the way, you're not a dork...you prob just type too fast like me, so it's easier to make mistakes. :)
ReplyDeletegreat pics - you are good at that!
ReplyDeleteThanks Leah, you're so kind! I'm learning by trial and error for sure, but the online class is really helping me A LOT! It is time consuming and hard for me to fit into my schedule right now, but I'm making it work. I'm finding that it's taking up the time that I used to spend blogging, but it's only for 2 weeks, so I think I can handle it for now. Hope all is well with you. Thanks for the comment!
ReplyDeletewhat a great class to take! the pictures look wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteI love clipping masks. I like how this effect worked. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteGreat looking pictures...and helpful post. I have photoshop and still haven't figured it all out yet.
ReplyDeletemomma, OceanDreams and Carol, thank you for your encouraging comments! I'm so excited to finally be learning how to use photoshop! Carol I highly recommend you take an online class...it is helping me more than you can imagine! My blogging friend OceanDreams recommended that I take a class and I am so grateful to her for that. I would have never figured it out on my own. The class I'm taking is taught by video, which is so awesome and easy to follow.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great class! I love all the pics!
ReplyDeleteLove Ya!

What great posts about photoshop. I recently got introduced to photoshop through work. One of the ladies is such an expert on this program so I try to sneak lessons all of the time. I am hoping to take a class as well someday. The photos were wonderful. Looks like you are learning a lot.
