Which One Is The Best?

Which one of the first 4 pics is the best? (Sorry they're not numbered in order!) Tonight I was playing around with photoshop, trying some different things with this photo that I took of Kasey last January and I'm not sure which one is the best, so I'm hoping maybe some of you can help me decide. I'm not concerned about the frames because I can always change those. I haven't taken the photo editing class yet, so I still don't really know what I'm doing, and I'm not really sure what looks the best. Please help!!!

I like this next one, but does her face look too light or maybe too bright? I'm not sure.

  2. Thank you Leah, you are very encouraging! I'm hoping in time I will just have an eye for it and know what looks best. Having a hobby is new to me.....when my kids were growing up I decided that I would wait until they were grown, before I would pursue a hobby because I wanted to devote my time to my husband and them. I have to say that I really am enjoying my new photography hobby, it is something I've always dreamed of doing and even if I don't become an expert at it, I will still enjoy being an amateur! I love taking photos and I hope to learn how to take beautiful portraits someday....right now I'm better at landscapes, but that's ok. Thanks for your sweet comments....I think my daughter is the most beautiful in the whole world, but I am quite partial indeed! :)

  3. I like the 2nd one. it is amazing what a difference a subtle change can make. I think the last one is a little to bright on her face. the contrast between her face and her dark hair is pretty strong.

but what gorgeous pictures!!! Of course it helps when you have such a beautiful model!!!

I love what you said above....that is how I feel about cooking! I am thinking of starting some cooking classes!

  6. Out of the pics that are the same, I like #4. There's enough light that her hair doesn't disappear into the picture, and there's enough contrast for the design on her shirt to stand out. However, I really like the closer-up shot of her. She is sooo pretty!! Weird how girls can look like their dad and feminine and gorgeous at the same time, but I see it often!

  7. I really like the photo #3. I like how the background is so soft. The fourth photo looks very good. I think the coloring is really good. You have a beautiful daughter.

  8. #3 is good. I like the scroll things. There is a big reflection righton top of her head...is that her halo? Beautiful!

  9. Thank you Michelle H, Tanya and Beth for your selections, I still haven't decided which one is my favorite. I'm going to be starting my new photo editing class tomorrow, so eventually I will prob redo this picture and then I can apply the things I learn and see if there's a big difference. I'm anxious to do a before and after to compare. I just hope I learn a lot!!!
