I found this tip on preventing avacados from turning brown and just had to share it!
***Don't forget to pause my music player before playing the video!
I gave it a try and I have to tell you....it really works!
This is 24 hours later and my avacado looks exactly the way it did, when I put it in the container with the red onion, the day before. It didn't turn brown at all! woot woot (*note: the brown you see on the avacado was already there when I cut it open!) Isn't that cool? Ok, well I'M EXCITED because this works better than any method I've ever tried! I don't know what the red onion does, but it works like a charm and I can't wait to see how many days it will keep my avacados nice and green. Hope you all enjoy this little hint.....give it a try. :)
What a great idea... I will have to try that.. .thank you for the wonderful tip, and thank you for sending me the link to your camera class.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I don't know much about photography, I enjoy seeing the beautiful pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteBut I do love Avacado. I had given up on buying them whole and switched to pre-made spread/dip. :) I'll have to try your trick!
I know what you mean, I love avacados too and they're too expensive to let go to waste when they turn brown, so I was so happy to find that the red onion trick really works! Of course lately I haven't needed the red onion trick because I've been eating the whole avacado twice a day. lol It's been a wonderful breakfast and dinner for me and has been helping me to lose weight. I just mash it up and add onions, garlic, tomato and lime juice or I'll add all natural salsa to change it up a bit and then just eat it with a spoon....oh it's so yummy and actually fills me up!
ReplyDeleteOh and your welcome Joy! :)
