Flashback Friday

Can you see the terror on my face, through that fake smile? Just as the picture was being snapped, the leopard turned it's head and brushed up against my head. Talk about freak me out! The hair raised on the back of my neck and every muscle in my body tensed up, as it sniffed my hair! I was mostly frightened for Michael, but he wasn't the least bit scared. He wanted to pet that big kitty cat. We sat down and he said, "Hi, ki--y, ki--y!" (He didn't pronounce the t's yet.) Wasn't he cute? This pic was taken in 1987.

Notice the football shirt with the number 33 on it........that was his daddy's football number! Maybe one of these Flashback Fridays, I'll post some of Andy's newspaper clippings, from his football scrapbook. He was the star running back for his school, but most importantly, he's a star to me!

  1. Girl, you are braver than me. Now I love animals as much as the next person...lol...just as long as the big cat is behind bars or in a movie. It did make a great picture. Where were you at? I'm sure it was tamed, if they can be tamed, they are wild spirits after all.
We would love to see some of your hubbies clippings and football pictures.
    Thanks for sharing.

  5. Oh my! How brave you are... it reminds me of when we were at some wildlife park and they asked for volunteers to pet the HUGE snake... HUGE as in a quarter of a mile long it seemed... and of course my tomboy Christa, who was about 4 at the time, stuck her hand in the air..I must not have passed out from fear cause I was able to get a picture to record the whole thing... Christa and her huge smile! Miss you and pray for you... Carol
